Servicing Our Customers Since 1979 ![]() Desmond Well Drilling, Inc. & Cape Cod Test Boring
"Quality workmanship is
our best recommendation" is our mission and has been since the
beginning. At Desmond Well Drilling, Inc., we are sensitive that you have many factors to consider when purchasing a new water well system: will the water well service the household and irrigation system? How much water do I need? What type of water pump and water storage tank will suit my needs best? What are the benefits of having a water well instead of town water? At Desmond Well Drilling, we are ready to guide you through this process. An important part of choosing the right water well is determining how much water your system will require. This information assists in determining the length of the water well screen, the pump size, and the tank size. The water well depth can be estimated, though the actual water well depth is determined based on actual subsurface soil conditions. Selecting the type of water pump will affect the cost of the water well system. You can choose either the stainless steel water pump or the composite plastic pump. The Goulds stainless steel water pump has an optional 5 year warranty to replace the pump in the event of its failure. Additionally, you can select a traditional water pump system or a constant pressure water pump system, which is newer technology. There are two water storage tank options: steel or fiberglass. The water requirement determines the size of the tank and the tank selection must complement the water pump size. Wells servicing only the irrigation system can be installed with or without a water storage tank. If you require any hand watering or if your underground irrigation system is unbalanced that is, the zones have different water requirements ( GPM ), then a water tank will be necessary. The constant pressure water pump and tank system is a good option for an unbalanced irrigation system. Desmond Well Drilling, Inc. will gladly work with you and your irrigation specialist to optimize your irrigation system. CAPE COD TEST BORING: Use an experienced Cape Cod well drilling company for your geotechnical and environmental drilling needs The geology on Cape Cod and the Islands differs greatly from other parts of Massachusetts and New England. Bedrock is roughly 300 feet below the surface and water wells on Cape Cod are set above the bedrock. Desmond Well Drilling, Inc. uses hollow stem augers and direct-push probing technology for all of its geotechnical and environmental well drilling and split spoon sampling. Running sands generally do not present a problem for Desmond Well Drilling, Inc. because this is the only type of well drilling condition we encounter. We have worked with many local and off-Cape engineering firms. Drilling projects include gas station remediation, split spoon soil sampling, contaminated plume tracking, monitoring and observation wells, decommissioning wells and structural borings.
